of marketing the yacht?

which yacht goes out on charter?

5. What costs must be met by me?
1. Do you restrict my personal usage on the yacht?
No, the company does not restrict your usage of the yacht - when you require the
yacht you inform us and we ensure that it is available to you for the required
dates. However, if a booking enquiry does arise we call and offer this to you
before passing it onto somebody else. Heavy usage around busy chartering periods
can affect your income. Top of page
2. By paying a monthly management fee, what
guarantees are there of marketing the yacht?
We market the yacht in three main areas; the London Boat Show, Yachting press
and the Internet. In the last two years we have found the most successful combination
of finding new clients is through The London Boat Show and the Internet. We have
marketed heavily in the yachting press over the last two years and we have found
that we get better results through the Internet. This is not to say our marketing
within the yachting press is going to stop, it is just going to become better
targeted. As a company we do not operate our contract to end of season or end
of year as most charter companies do. The result of this is that the pressure
is on for us to perform and gain the charters for you, if not we are aware that
there are plenty of other charter companies out there. Top of page
3. Does the company own their own yachts and
how do you choose which yacht goes out on charter?
Most charter companies do own at least one of the yachts in the charter fleet,
if not several, hence it is almost guaranteed that charter clients are pushed
towards this yacht more than any other yacht on the fleet. This is because the
charter company is not paying any commission on this yacht and the company collects
the whole fee. We do not own our own yachts, so this is not the case with PT yacht
Charters. As for which yacht goes out on charter, this is done on a rotational
basis, unless the client specifically asks for your yacht by its name. As a company
we foresee holding no more than 15 yachts at any one location, therefore keeping
both owners and clients on a personal relationship, hence Personally Tailored
yacht Charters. Top of page
4. How well is my yacht going to be looked
after?
Prior to every charter the yacht is handed over inclusive of a full inventory
check and a system management check. The yacht is handed over clean, full of fuel,
gas and water. When the yacht comes back in there is somebody to meet the clients
to check over the yacht to ensure that there is no damage or any items missing.
This check is usually done in full with the clients not present as it puts unacceptable
pressure on our staff with them present. She will then be cleaned after the charter
clients have left the yacht.
Whilst not on charter she shall be kept in a clean and ready state. Prior to
the next charter or the owner coming down our final checks shall be made and she
shall also be cleaned again before arrival. She shall undergo stringent checks
on a regular basis to ensure that she is kept to a high standard at all times.
Existing owners can supply references as to how their yacht is kept whilst under
our management. Top of page
5. What costs must be met by me?
When trying to work out the expenditure for the yacht the costs to be taken into
consideration are the Yacht management fee, Yacht charter insurance, Berthing
fees, first year coding costs, and standard maintenance. We can offer assistance
in helping to work out these figures, which is dependent on what type of yacht
you wish to buy. We have an arrangement with an insurance company that offers
a discount for yachts that have joined our fleet. Top of page
