Yacht Charter in the UK is driven by the charter clients themselves, the clients can be categorised into several categories: The most popular market within the UK is the bareboat market, but depending on which yacht you are considering to purchase it may not fall into this category by default of its design or size. Most of the categories have one thing in common in that they are heavily influenced by the cost each crewmember will have to pay to be on board the yacht. Therefore the number of berths of any given yacht will strongly determine its popularity. We set our charter rates for each yacht by equating the length of the yacht and its maximum berthing capacity. Ideal Yacht lengths and berthing capacities are laid out below for maximum financial returns:
Yachts over 50ft usually fall into the corporate and skippered charter markets only. The yacht must also reach a minimum requirement for its instrumentation, these include: speed, depth, wind, VHF, (DSC), GPS, radio with LW and hand held VHF. Additional instruments will not always make the yacht more desirable, but will insure customer loyalty for future bookings. Charter clients that are going across the Channel usually ask for yachts with Auto Helm and Radar. Heating is also another large benefit as it extends the charter season by a month at either end. |
